Manju Warrier plays the lead in Ayisha, a drama that is mostly based in Middle East, and is about a Kerala woman who is sent to work there in a palatial mansion. Based on real-life events, the movie reminds us of Kavya Madhavan's Khadamma, though Ayisha seems to have a more hopeful tone.


Ayisha, is the first Malayalam Arabic multilingual cross-cultural movie directed by newcomer Aamir Pallikal. Features Manju Warrier as the title character Ayisha with Radhika, who is highly regarded for her acting in classmates, plays an important role in this movie. Sajna, Poornima, Latifa (Tunisia), Salamah (UAE), Jennifer (Philippines), Sarafina (Nigeria), Sumayya (Yemen) and Islam (Syria) foreign stars are also in the cast. The movie Ayisha is produced by director Zakariya under the banner of Cross Border Camera. The movie is co-produced by Shamsudheen Mankarathodi, Zakariyya Vavad, Harris Desom, PB Anish, and Bineesh Chandran under the banner of Feather Touch Movie Box, Imagin Cinemas, Last Exit Cinemas, and Movie Bucket. Ashif Kakkodi penned the screenplay. After Vijay Deverakonda's Telugu-Hindi bilingual movie Liger, Vishnu Sarma is the cinematographer of the Malayalam movie Ayesha.

The first look title poster was unveiled on 10th September 2021, on actress Manju Warrier’s birthday. The first look poster of the Indo-Arabic movie Ayisha has been released on 18th February 2022. Apart from Malayalam, the poster has been released in English, Arabic, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada languages.
