2018 saved Malayalam film industry. They were 73 movie hit to big screens as of 2023 and only one made box office hit, it was ROMANJAM as per Kerala Box Office. Some of the audience says no is interested in movie because they create romantic cinemas more and rest others say they’re making realistic cinemas to save their movie. But in my thought Malayalam film industry is failed to give what the audience wanted rather than bunch of content. As of 2023, I’ve only went to ROMANJAM in theatres and the rest I saw on OTT.

As per Wikipedia, 2018 made over ₹80 crores (US$10) in world wide box office collection, which is great number in Malayalam film industry. This movie is based on real incident happened in state of Kerala on 2018. The premise of movie goes like this The story starts in a village Aruvikkulam, where we meet a lot of people with their petty quarrels. Among them is Anoop a youngster who left the Indian Armywith fake medical certificate. We get to see their ordinary lives and later in sharp contrast, how it gets overturned because of the flood.
