Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse continues to swing from strength to strength as the animated picture has just pushed past $600 million dollars at the global box office.

While other movies, such as The Flash and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, floundered at the box office this week, Across the Spider-Verse collected another $13.8 million to take its tally to $607.3 million globally.

Previously, Across the Spider-Verse set another record. It scored the biggest US cinematic opening day of the year after it reaped in $51.75 million on Friday, June 2. It made a total of $120.5 million across its opening weekend, surpassing its expected total of $80 million.

The Spider-Man movie also became Sony's highest-grossing animated movie of all time, beating the previous record of $528,583,774, which was held by Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation.

Across the Spider-Verse ended on a massive cliffhanger that sets up Beyond the Spider-Verse. Shameik Moore, who voices Miles Morales, spoke about this cliffhanger recently.

"We didn't get a script, but I think my reaction is that what it would have felt like reading for the first time is probably very similar to watching it in its entirety for the first time," Moore said.
