Warner Bros. has clearly seen better days when it comes to the DC verse. With James Gunn now in charge, WB has been hoping that they might reproduce their screen magic and replicate Marvel-like profits for their superhero ventures. So far, their approach has been failing.

Ever since becoming DC co-head, Gunn has been working to reboot the Superman saga with a fresh storyline. Recently it was rumored that the Guardians of the Galaxy director was being forced by Warner Bros. to introduce more characters in the film in order to attract buyers.

The DC verse has been in critical turmoil for years now. Despite the characters, cast, and even occasionally good storytelling, the DC Extended Universe has been struggling to keep up with its arch nemesis MCU. With James Gunn and Peter Safran, there was a hope that DC might climb back up to its past glory. However, with the recent The Flash fiasco, there were rumors that WB might potentially be looking to get its hands off the DC verse for good.

Hence, the rumors started of Warner Bros forcing the Suicide Squad director to introduce more characters into his latest venture Superman: Legacy. But of course, the illustrious director once again took to social media to quench these unpleasant rumors.
