'Leo' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, starring Vijay, was released amid great anticipation on October 19, and the film opened with positive responses. Even though the action drama later received mixed reviews, it has been keeping a stronghold at the box office. Here's the latest update on the box office collection of 'Leo' at the end of day 16.

'Leo' has been on the rise right from day 1 in several locations, and Kerala is one of the places. Vijay's film has now emerged as the highest-grossing Tamil film in the state by earning Rs 58 crore, and the action drama overtaken Rajinikanth's 'Jailer' (Rs 57.7 crore) to achieve the feat. 'Leo' has broken the box office records of 'Jailer' in multiple locations, and the film needs another Rs 70 crore to surpass the overall collection of the Rajinikanth starrer.

The worldwide collection of 'Leo' stood at around Rs 565 crore at the end of day 16, while Rs 325 crore of the total came from the domestic box office. 'Leo' is predicted to have a peak during the weekend with no big releases, and the film is expected to earn over Rs 200 crore in Tamil Nadu.

The action drama marks the second collaboration of director Lokesh Kanagaraj and actor Vijay after the successful film 'Master' in 2021. With Vijay playing a character of two different shades, 'Leo' is confirmed to be part of Lokesh Kanagaraj's Cinematic Universe, and the film also features Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, Gautham Menon, Sandy, Mathew Thomas, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Priya Anand among others in important roles. Anirudh Ravichander took care of the music, while the visuals were captured by Manoj Paramahamsa.
