GQ: The seventh part – Rise of the Beasts – in the much-awaited Transformers franchise is finally here and is surely a treat for fans of the series. Grander sets, top-notch visual effects (you can’t tell whether the robots on screen are real or fake!) and exhilarating action is what draws fans to Transformers. At the heart of the series is the age-old fight between alien robots Autobots (the good guys) and the Decepticons (league of the bad ones) – they have the power to disguise themselves, mostly as machines and cars. Though as the series progresses, the plot gets lost in the visual extravaganza, the movies keep you hooked nonetheless. The movies, however, aren’t for everyone as these Rotten Tomatoes ratings would prove.
