GQ: The only spin-off, so far, the movie acts as a prequel to the series. The plot revolves around our beloved B-127 Autobot, landing on Earth at the behest of Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobots. Cybertron is ravaged by a Civil War and B-127 is sent to find a secure place where the Autobots can seek refuge. The Autobot is attacked by Decepticons and before succumbing to injuries takes on the shape of a yellow Volkswagen Beetle, which later becomes a gift to a depressed girl, Charlie, who’s struggling to accept her father’s death and has a strained relationship with her mother. She names him Bumblebee. When Charlie accidentally activates a signal, attracting Decepticons, Bumblebee reveals his true nature and does his best to save his new home and friends.
